LANtasm is Con on the Cob's very own LAN computer gaming extravaganza. It's three straight days of around-the-clock computer gaming and electronic mayhem (I'm not sure what I mean by "electronic mayhem" but I thought it sounded pretty cool).
Sponsored by OGO (the Ohio Gamers Organization) and NOLGA (the Northern Ohio LAN Gamers Association) LANtasm is seventy-five seats of nonstop computer action.
We're still working on the schedule of events and tournaments, but here are the games currently on our minds:

Call of Duty 4
Unreal Tournament 3
Unreal Tournament 2004
Battlefield 2
Warcraft 3: DOTA
F.E.A.R.
Team Fortress 2
Command and Conquer 3
Counter-Strike: Source

Please visit this thread on the CotC forum to add your voice to the game selection. Planning on joining the fun? Please let us know.

We'll have a complete list of rules and instructions on this page soon, but for now here's the general gist of the thing (subject to change):

  • There will be 75 spaces available.
  • We'll supply the cables, switches, and servers.
  • Players are responsible for supplying their own computers or laptops.
  • The fun begins Friday at noon and continues nonstop until Sunday at 4:00pm.
  • There will be tournaments, prizes, and all sorts of fun stuff.

Here's what to bring:
Computer (desktop or laptop)
Monitor
Keyboard
Mouse
Mouse Pad/Surface
Power Cords for above equipment
An outlet strip (we'll have some onsite, but bring your own if you can)
Headphones (no powered speakers)
An ethernet card (10/100)
All of your games
All of your driver disks for when your computer has problems (remember your windows operating CD and anti virus)
Money for concessions
A good attitude
