Description:

Come play one of 20 characters in our immersive event and save the village or set it aflame!

Fee:$20

WORLD: After the world has ended in flame and destruction, pockets of population have been surviving in places such as the subway tunnels, basement vaults of museums, fallout shelters, and other underground areas. When a transformed threat emerges in a community, the populace turns to an old practice used by their ancestors for singling out the strange and the abnormal – Malleus Maleficarum.

The community is threatened by the presence of a witch or witches. Some of these can be identified by a physical mark or strange power, but it seems that in this world, things are changing for everyone.

WHAT WILL REALLY HAPPEN: Kindling is an immersive theatrical experience, in which you will assume a role of a resident of Davis Square, a Boston subway station turned settlement and community after the disastrous yet long overdue eruption of the Yellowstone super-volcano. Feel free to prepare light costuming for the event if you wish, however, it is not required. Over the course of the afternoon, you will participate in a workshop to prepare you for the experience, then dive deep into Kindling with your fellow delegates, then close with a debrief. Your character sheet will be provided to you at the beginning of the game based on the feedback you provide upon entering.

While the event is going on, you will assume your character’s motivations, background and behavior as you interpret them, acting as they would act and making decisions as they would, in your opinion. It’s a bit like being an actor in a play without a script, we all make the play together as we go.

No prior experience with role-playing games needed, we will provide everything you will require and all you need to do is immerse yourself in the world of Kindling!
