“Five years ago, a man’s fantasy became a reality in a form never seen before: Kitchen Stadium, a giant cooking arena. The motivation for spending his fortune to create Kitchen Stadium was to encounter new original cuisines which could be called true artistic creations. To realize his dream, he secretly started choosing the top chefs of various styles of cooking, and he named his men the Iron Chefs: the invincible men of culinary skills. Iron Chef Japanese is Masaharu Morimoto. Iron Chef French is Hiroyuki Sakai. Iron Chef Chinese is Chen Kenichi. And Masahiko Kobe is Iron Chef Italian. Kitchen Stadium is the arena where Iron Chefs await the challenges of master chefs from around the world. Both the Iron Chef and challenger have one hour to tackle the theme ingredient of the day. Using all their senses, skill, creativity, they are to prepare artistic dishes never tasted before. And if ever a challenger wins over the iron chef, he or she will gain the people’s ovation and fame forever. Every battle, reputations are on the line in Kitchen Stadium, where master chefs pit their artistic creations against each other. What inspiration does today’s challenger bring? And how will the Iron Chef fight back? The heat will be on!”

Um, yeah…
We have something like that, except we don’t have a fortune with which to make our fantasy become reality. Instead, our giant cooking arena is the Art Workshop Zone, our original cuisine is artistic rather than culinary, our Iron Chef is the legendary Larry Elmore, and challengers are artists rather than chefs. We do, however, have a secret ingredient, skilled artists, a panel of judges (the audience) and crazy hats. We even have a cool prize – the peoples’ ovation and fame forever. If you think you have what it takes to challenge Iron Artist Scotty Lees send me an email to sign up. Space is extremely limited, so get your wazoo moving.

Oooooooh, are you scaaaaaaaared? You should be, cuz this contest is ultra spooky. See here’s the gist. First we all get together and draw a monster, collaboratively, on the white board. Each person adds a body part of some sort to our beastie until the creature is ready for public display. That’s when the real fun starts.
Once the beast is complete it is put on display for everyone to see. Throughout the con participants are invited to create their own version of the monster, using the basic form we created together.
You can use any sort of media you want, from crayons to play dough to oil paint. The choice is yours. You don’t have to be an artist to enter, everyone is invited.
All of the entries will be put on display for general perusal. The winner of the contest will be decided by audience applause during the Award Ceremony on Sunday afternoon. The prize – 10 raffle tickets for The Mother of All Raffles, a hug from someone cool, and our perpetual reverance.

The Artitorium

This game has audience participation oozing out its wazoo. See, a group of artists all grab drawing pads and sit at a table in front of the assembled masses.
Said assembled masses then begin shouting out topics and subject matter the artists are then compelled to draw in a very limited amount of time.Whoever gets the most applause
It’s a load of fun, so make sure you’re there. I don’t want to have to come looking for you.

SCULPTORS ASSEMBLE!!!!
Here’s something fun. It’s just like quick draw, but for sculptors. Several play dough manipulators manipulate play dough in the forms suggested by the assembled masses. Too much fun for mortal minds, you say? Nonsense, it’s just the requisite amount of fun.

Here’s the deal: a whole bunch of great artists gather together and draw a whole bunch of awesome pictures, using markers, crayons, or whatever. The assembled masses buy raffle tickets and try to win their favorite drawings. Proceeds go to charity. Last year we raised over $550 for Heaven Can Wait.
